An angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream

1:18 [hgb] 耶稣基督降生的事、记在下面．他母亲马利亚已经许配了约瑟、还没有迎娶、马利亚就从圣灵怀了孕。
[lzz] 基督的诞生是这样的∶他母亲马利亚巳经许配了约瑟；他们没有同居以前，她就觉得她因圣灵而怀了孕。
[kjv] Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
[bbe] Now the birth of Jesus Christ was in this way: when his mother Mary was going to be married to Joseph, before they came together the discovery was made that she was with child by the Holy Spirit.

1:19 [hgb] 他丈夫约瑟是个义人、不愿意明明的羞辱他、想要暗暗的把他休了。
[lzz] 她丈夫约瑟是个义人，不愿意公然羞辱她，只有意思要秘密解退她。
[kjv] Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
[bbe] And Joseph, her husband, being an upright man, and not desiring to make her a public example, had a mind to put her away privately.

1:20 [hgb] 正思念这事的时候、有主的使者向他梦中显现、说、大卫的子孙约瑟、不要怕、只管娶过你的妻子马利亚来．因他所怀的孕、是从圣灵来的。
[lzz] 正想着这些事的时候，忽有主的一个使者向约瑟梦中显现说∶「大卫的子孙约瑟阿，不要怕将你的妻子马利亚娶过来；因为所生在她身里的是从圣灵而来的。
[kjv] But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
[bbe] But when he was giving thought to these things, an angel of the Lord came to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, have no fear of taking Mary as your wife; because that which is in her body is of the Holy Spirit.

1:21 [hgb] 他将要生一个儿子．你要给他起名叫耶稣．因他要将自己的百姓从罪恶里救出来。
[lzz] 她必生个儿子，你要给他起名叫耶稣（即∶拯救），因为他必拯救他的人民脱离他们的罪。」
[kjv] And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
[bbe] And she will give birth to a son; and you will give him the name Jesus; for he will give his people salvation from their sins.

1:22 [hgb] 这一切的事成就、是要应验主借先知所说的话、
[lzz] 这全部的事发生，是要应验主藉神言人所说的话，说∶
[kjv] Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
[bbe] Now all this took place so that the word of the Lord by the prophet might come true,

1:23 [hgb] 说、『必有童女、怀孕生子、人要称他的名为以马内利。』（以马内利翻出来、就是　神与我们同在。)
[lzz] 「看吧，那童女必怀孕生子；人必给他起名叫『以马内利』」；以马内利才译出来就是『上帝与我们同在』。
[kjv] Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. [bbe] See, the virgin will be with child, and will give birth to a son, and they will give him the name Immanuel, that is, God with us.

1:24 [hgb] 约瑟醒了、起来、就遵着主使者的吩咐、把妻子娶过来．
[lzz] 约瑟睡醒了起来，就照主的使者所吩咐他的去作，把他的妻子娶过来； [kjv] Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
[bbe] And Joseph did as the angel of the Lord had said to him, and took her as his wife;

1:25 [hgb] 只是没有和他同房、等他生了儿子、〔有古卷作等他生了头胎的儿子〕就给他起名叫耶稣。
[lzz] 等她生了儿子，才和她同房；就给儿子起名叫耶稣。
[kjv] And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
[bbe] And he had no connection with her till she had given birth to a son; and he gave him the name Jesus
