arrived some 9 to 18 months after Jesus was born.

[kjv] When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
[bbe] And after hearing the king, they went on their way; and the star which they saw in the east went before them, till it came to rest over the place where the young child was.

2:10 [hgb] 他们看见那星、就大大的欢喜。
[lzz] 他们看见那星，就大大欢喜，极为快乐。
[kjv] When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
[bbe] And when they saw the star they were full of joy.
